WORKSHOPS

Home-based workshops: Full Day:
Maximum number: 5
Location: Spaldington, Howden, DN14 7NJ
Time: 10am to 3.30pm
Cost: £80 (including two-course home-cooked lunch)
The workshop includes:-
- Short demonstrations as required to show the techniques involved in working with a palette knife
- Palette knife painting with individual guidance, suitable for all levels of experience (including complete beginners)
- Acrylic paints, cleaning rags and a range of knives provided
- Two course home-cooked lunch
If there are four or five of you in a ‘ready made’ group who would like to come along to a workshop together, please let me know and we can work to a date that suits you. I am happy to arrange workshops on a weekend as well as during the week.
Art Groups:
I am always very happy to run workshops for your art group and will travel throughout Yorkshire and neighbouring counties. Please email me directly for demo and workshop rates.
COMMISSIONS AND FRAMING
If you are looking for something of a specific size or colour palette for your home, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I can give you a no-obligation quote.
My work is constantly updating so if you’ve seen something on this website that you really liked, but which is no longer there, please get in touch – I can produce something similar but it will still be unique to you. No two paintings are the same but I am always happy to discuss options.
As a very rough guide, paintings on deep edge, unframed, ready-to-hang box canvas measuring approx 60cm x 30cm cost around £200/£250. Paintings around 100 cm x 50 cms cost between £450 and £750.
More complex and larger paintings are likely to be between £1,000 and £1,500 unframed.
Most of my work is on deep edge, ready to hang, frameless canvases, but I can also supply paintings on canvas board or plain canvas so you can take it to your local framer for mounting and displaying in your own choice of frame.
We also make bespoke floating frames, finished in anthracite, off-white or plain wood, for an additional cost ranging on average between £75 and £150. This may vary according to the size of the work so please contact me for a full price list. NB: this service is only available for paintings bought directly from my studio.
